1976年生于大阪府，居住在澳大利亚。2012年取得京都市立艺术大学博士学位。她利用染织、刺绣、编织、系结等技法、以及照片、文本、声音等媒介创作装置作品。作为韩国侨民，她令无名人士所讲述的历史和时间变得引人注目。近年来，她致力于以海路为线索将个人故事作为“我们”的记忆共享的项目。
