The series of talks will cover an interdisciplinary selection of topics across the fields of design, education, medical care and urban planning with a view to deepening the understanding of the exhibition.

Profile

  • Hara Kenya (director, Nippon Design Center)

    Born in 1958. Designer. Director, the Nippon Design Center Inc. Professor at Musashino Art University. Hara Kenya emphasizes the design of both objects and experiences. In 2002, Hara became a member of MUJI's advisory board and began acting as its art director. He holds numerous exhibitions with keywords that will update values such as "RE DESIGN" "HAPTIC" "SENSEWARE". Several books authored by Hara, including "Designing Design" and "White", have been translated into a number of languages.
