About

The Toyota Choreography Award seeks to support the next generation of choreographers in their artistic growth. Hirahara Shintaro, winner of the final award in both the “Next Generation Choreographer Award” and “Audience Award” categories, will create a new work while in-residence in Kanazawa. Hirahara will spin a magical tale inspired by the “Beast” of the Bible and the mushi (bug) that figures into many Japanese literature works.
